- 1
Go to Settings → Connected Channels from the sidebar.
- 2
Click 'Connect' next to the platform you want to add (Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube).
- 3
For Instagram: You must have a Creator or Business account. Personal accounts are not supported by Instagram's API.
Important: Do not use a personal Instagram account. Switch to Creator/Business in Instagram settings first.
- 4
You'll be redirected to the platform's login page. Log in and click 'Allow' or 'Authorize' to grant Pixalera permission.
- 5
Once authorized, you'll be brought back to Pixalera. Your channel will appear with a green 'Connected' badge.
- 6
For Facebook: Connect your Facebook Page (not your personal profile). You must be the Page admin.
Pro tip: If you manage multiple Facebook Pages, you can choose which ones to connect.
- 7
For YouTube: Connect your Google account. Pixalera can schedule YouTube Shorts and long-form videos.

Scheduling
4 guides- 1
Click 'New Post' in the sidebar, or click any date on your Content Calendar.
- 2
In the composer, select which channels to post to (e.g. Instagram + Facebook). You can select multiple at once.
Pro tip: Each platform shows a small preview of how your post will look — aspect ratio, character limits, etc.
- 3
Upload your media: image, video, reel, or story. Drag and drop files or click 'Upload media'.
- 4
Write your caption. Use the AI Studio (✨ button) to generate caption ideas, hooks, or hashtag sets.
- 5
Set your schedule: click the date-time picker and choose when to publish.
Pro tip: Pixalera shows a 'Best Time to Post' suggestion based on your past engagement data.
- 6
Click 'Schedule' — your post will appear on the calendar with a clock icon.
- 7
To post immediately, click 'Publish now' instead of 'Schedule'.
Scheduled posts run through Pixalera's background publishing engine. You don't need to keep the app open.
- 1
After selecting multiple channels in the composer, click the platform tab (e.g. 'Instagram', 'Facebook') to switch views.
- 2
Each tab has its own caption editor. Edits here override the main caption for that platform only.
- 3
You can upload different media per platform. For example, a 9:16 Reel for Instagram and a 16:9 video for YouTube.
- 4
Hashtags: Instagram supports up to 30 hashtags. Facebook works better with 3–5. YouTube hashtags go in the description.
Pro tip: Use AI Studio to generate platform-optimized hashtag sets automatically.
- 5
Story options (Instagram only): Add a CTA sticker, swipe-up link, or question poll label.
- 1
Open your Content Calendar. Scheduled posts appear as colored blocks. Click any post to open its options.
- 2
Edit: Click the pencil icon to re-open the composer and update caption, media, or channels.
- 3
Reschedule: Drag and drop the post to a new date on the calendar, or click 'Edit' and change the date-time.
- 4
Duplicate: Click the duplicate icon to create an identical copy. Useful for cross-posting to new platforms.
Pro tip: Duplicate a high-performing post and re-publish it 3–4 months later with a slightly updated caption.
- 5
Delete: Click the trash icon. This only removes the scheduled post — already-published posts on the platform remain.
- 6
Failed posts: Posts that couldn't publish appear in red. Click them to see the error reason and retry.
- 1
Pixalera analyzes your historical post data — when your audience is most active and when your posts got the most engagement.
- 2
The green 'Best Time' badge in the scheduler shows the recommended slot for the day you've chosen.
- 3
For new accounts with less data, we use industry benchmarks for your niche (e.g. Food creators: 12–1 PM and 6–8 PM).
- 4
As you publish more posts, the recommendations get smarter. Check your Analytics → Audience Insights tab for a full heatmap.
Pro tip: For Indian creators, peak Instagram engagement is typically 7–9 AM and 7–10 PM IST.
AutoDM
4 guides- 1
Go to AutoDM in the sidebar. Click 'Create new automation'.
Important: AutoDM requires Creator or Pro plan and a connected Instagram Business/Creator account.
- 2
Select the Instagram post you want to add the trigger to (or paste the post URL).
- 3
Enter your keyword(s). Example: 'price', 'link', 'info'. Anyone who comments these words will receive your DM.
Pro tip: Use short, natural keywords your audience would actually comment. Avoid complex phrases.
- 4
Write your DM message. Personalize it with {first_name} to greet them by name automatically.
- 5
Optional filters: toggle 'Only send to followers' or 'Only send once per user' to avoid spamming.
- 6
Set a 'Public reply' (optional) — a comment reply that appears publicly when the trigger fires (e.g. 'Sent you a DM! 📩').
- 7
Click 'Activate'. Your automation is live immediately.
AutoDM uses Instagram's official API. Messages are sent from your account, so they appear as regular DMs. Pixalera doesn't have access to existing DM history.
- 1
Use {first_name} — replaced with the commenter's Instagram first name automatically.
- 2
Keep the opening line warm and direct. Example: 'Hey {first_name}! Thanks for asking — here's the link you requested: [link]'
- 3
Add a clear CTA (call-to-action). Tell them exactly what to do next.
Pro tip: DMs with a single clear CTA (e.g. 'Click the link below') convert 3x better than messages with multiple links.
- 4
Include an emoji or two to keep it friendly and human.
- 5
Test your message: Use the 'Preview' button before activating. You'll see exactly what your audience receives.
- 6
Message length: Instagram DMs support up to 1,000 characters. Keep it under 200 for best open rates.
- 1
Free plan: 100 AutoDM messages / month.
- 2
Grow plan: 10,000 messages / month.
- 3
Creator plan: 50,000 messages / month.
- 4
Pro plan: Unlimited messages.
- 5
Your monthly limit resets on your billing date each month.
Pro tip: Check your current usage at AutoDM → Usage Stats. You'll get an alert at 80% usage.
- 6
If you hit the limit mid-month, automations pause automatically. Upgrade your plan to resume immediately.
Important: Paused automations do not retroactively send missed messages. Upgrade before you hit 100% to avoid gaps.
- 1
Multiple keywords: Add up to 20 keywords per automation. Any of them will trigger the DM. Example: 'link', 'url', 'website', 'shop'.
- 2
Message delay: Set a delay (0–60 min) before the DM sends. A 2–5 min delay feels more natural.
Pro tip: A slight delay (1–3 min) makes the DM feel less robotic and often improves response rates.
- 3
A/B split: Creator & Pro users can create two message variants. Pixalera automatically splits traffic 50/50 and shows which version gets more replies.
- 4
Follower filter: Restrict the trigger to only people who follow you, reducing spam reports.
- 5
One-time send: Enable 'Send once per user' to avoid sending duplicates if someone comments the keyword multiple times.
- 6
Archive automations: Deactivate old automations instead of deleting to preserve stats.
AI Studio
4 guides- 1
In the post composer, click the ✨ AI Studio button in the caption toolbar.
- 2
Describe your post: what is it about, your mood/tone, and your goal (e.g. 'Funny reel about my morning routine, casual tone, goal: get saves').
- 3
Select your platform (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) — the AI adjusts caption length and style accordingly.
- 4
Choose a tone: Casual, Professional, Witty, Inspirational, Educational, or Storytelling.
- 5
Click 'Generate'. You'll get 3 caption variations. Click any to apply it to your post, or regenerate for fresh options.
Pro tip: Click 'Improve this caption' after applying one to refine it further without starting over.
- 6
Hashtag generator: Scroll down in AI Studio → click 'Generate hashtags'. It reads your caption and suggests relevant, ranked hashtags.
- 1
In the post composer, click the image icon → 'Generate with AI'.
Important: AI Image Generation is available on Grow, Creator, and Pro plans.
- 2
Type a detailed description. The more specific, the better. Example: 'Indian woman in a coffee shop, golden hour lighting, lifestyle photo, 9:16 aspect ratio'.
- 3
Choose style: Realistic, Illustration, Minimalist, 3D Render, or Cinematic.
- 4
Select aspect ratio: 1:1 (Square), 4:5 (Portrait), 9:16 (Reel/Story), 16:9 (YouTube).
- 5
Click 'Generate'. 4 image variations appear. Click any to add it directly to your post.
Pro tip: Save images to your Pixalera media library to reuse them in future posts.
- 6
AI-generated images count toward your monthly storage limit (100 MB free, 1 GB Grow, 5 GB Creator, 10 GB Pro).
- 1
In AI Studio, click the 'Hooks' tab.
- 2
Describe what your post is about in one line.
- 3
Choose hook style: Curiosity, Bold Statement, Question, Story, or Controversial.
- 4
Click 'Generate Hooks'. You'll see 5 options. Each is designed to stop the scroll in the first 1–2 seconds.
Pro tip: For Reels, put the hook in the first 3 seconds of your video AND in the first line of your caption. Double exposure.
- 5
Click 'Use this hook' to paste it at the start of your caption.
- 1
In AI Studio, click the 'SEO' tab. Available for all plans.
- 2
Enter your post topic or paste your existing caption.
- 3
Pixalera analyzes search volume and suggests: primary keywords, secondary keywords, and SEO-friendly hashtags.
Pro tip: For YouTube, the AI also suggests your video title, description structure, and tags optimized for YouTube Search.
- 4
For Instagram: Place 1–2 keywords naturally in your caption's first line. Instagram's search indexes caption text.
- 5
For all platforms: Alt text (image description) improves discoverability. Pixalera auto-generates alt text for uploaded images.
- 6
Click 'Apply SEO suggestions' to insert keywords and hashtags directly into your draft.
Ideas Board
2 guides- 1
Go to Ideas Board in the sidebar. You'll see a Kanban board with columns: Idea → Research → Draft → Ready → Published.
- 2
Click '+ Add idea' in any column. Enter a title, description, platform target, and optional due date.
- 3
Drag cards between columns to track progress as you develop content.
- 4
Click any idea card to open it. Add notes, attach reference images, or tag it with a content type (Reel, Carousel, Story).
Pro tip: Use the 'Inspiration' field to paste a reference post URL. This keeps all your research in one place.
- 5
When an idea is 'Ready', click 'Create Post' directly from the card. It opens the composer with your idea pre-filled.
- 6
Published ideas automatically move to the 'Published' column and link to the live post.
- 1
In the Ideas Board, click 'AI Content Plan' in the top-right.
- 2
Enter your niche, target audience, and content goals for the month (e.g. 'Grow followers', 'Drive store sales').
- 3
Choose posting frequency: 3x/week, 5x/week, or daily.
- 4
Click 'Generate Plan'. Pixalera creates a full 30-day content calendar with post ideas, content types, and recommended days.
Pro tip: The AI considers upcoming Indian festivals and events (Diwali, IPL, etc.) if relevant to your niche.
- 5
Approve each idea with one click to add it to your Ideas Board. Edit any idea before approving.
- 6
Once all ideas are in your board, you can develop and schedule them at your own pace.
Analytics
3 guides- 1
Go to Analytics in the sidebar. The overview shows stats for all connected channels.
- 2
Reach — How many unique accounts saw your content. A high reach with low engagement means your content isn't resonating.
- 3
Impressions — Total number of times your content was shown (including repeat views from the same account).
- 4
Engagement Rate — (Likes + Comments + Saves + Shares) ÷ Reach × 100. Above 3% is good for Instagram.
- 5
Saves — One of Instagram's most important signals. A high save rate tells the algorithm your content is valuable.
Pro tip: Create 'Save-worthy' content like tips, checklists, and tutorials. These consistently outperform entertainment posts in saves.
- 6
Follower Growth — Net new followers per day/week/month. Track spikes to identify which posts drove the most growth.
- 7
Best Performing Posts — Sorted by engagement rate. Study what worked and replicate the format, topic, or style.
- 1
Free plan: Basic stats — last 7 days of data.
- 2
Grow plan: 30-day analytics history.
- 3
Creator plan: 60-day analytics history.
- 4
Pro plan: 90-day analytics history.
Pro tip: Upgrade before you lose historical data. Once data ages past your plan's limit, it cannot be recovered.
- 5
Export: Creator and Pro users can export analytics as CSV from Analytics → Export Data.
- 1
Go to Analytics → Audience Insights tab.
- 2
Demographics: Age breakdown, gender split, and top countries/cities of your followers.
- 3
Activity heatmap: See which hours and days your audience is most active. Use this for scheduling.
Pro tip: The heatmap is the single most powerful scheduling tool. Always post when YOUR audience is online, not generic advice.
- 4
Follower sources: Where new followers came from — hashtags, Explore, your profile, or a specific post.
- 5
Audience data updates every 24 hours. Data comes directly from Instagram/Facebook's official API.
Trend Finder
2 guides- 1
Go to Trend Finder in the sidebar. Available on Grow, Creator, and Pro plans.
Important: Trend Finder is not available on the Free plan.
- 2
Select your niche from the dropdown (e.g. Fashion, Food, Finance, Fitness, Tech).
- 3
Browse trending: Hashtags, Sounds (for Reels), Topics, and Post Formats (carousel, reel, talking head, etc.).
- 4
Each trend shows: Current velocity (growing fast / peaked / declining), Engagement potential, and Competition level.
Pro tip: Target trends that are 'Growing Fast' with 'Medium' competition — these offer the best opportunity.
- 5
Click 'Create post with this trend' to open the composer with the trending hashtags and a content brief pre-filled.
- 6
Trends update every 6 hours. Check Trend Finder daily for the freshest opportunities.
- 1
In Trend Finder, click the 'Sounds' tab.
- 2
You'll see a ranked list of trending Reels audio with use count, trend velocity, and niche fit.
- 3
Filter by language: Hindi, English, Regional (Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.).
- 4
Click any sound to hear a 30-second preview.
- 5
Click 'View on Instagram' to open the sound's page and start filming your Reel with it directly in Instagram.
Pro tip: Reels using trending audio get shown to non-followers by the algorithm. Posting within the first 24–48 hours of a trend maximizes reach.
Channels
3 guides- 1
Feed Posts (Images): JPEG or PNG. Recommended size: 1080×1080 (square), 1080×1350 (portrait), 1080×566 (landscape).
- 2
Reels: MP4 video. Aspect ratio: 9:16. Duration: 15 seconds to 90 seconds. Resolution: 1080×1920.
Important: Instagram does not allow Reel publishing via API for all accounts. If scheduling fails, it may be a platform restriction — try publishing manually.
- 3
Stories: Image or video. Same specs as Reels. Stories expire after 24 hours — this is set by Instagram, not Pixalera.
- 4
Carousels: Up to 10 images or videos per post. Mix images and videos in the same carousel.
- 5
Caption: Up to 2,200 characters. Hashtags count toward the limit. Up to 30 hashtags.
- 6
First Comment hashtags: Pixalera can post your hashtags as the first comment instead of in the caption for a cleaner look.
Pro tip: Posting hashtags in the first comment rather than the caption is equally effective and looks cleaner.
- 1
Connect your Facebook Page (not personal profile) via Settings → Connected Channels.
- 2
Supported content: Text posts, image posts, video posts, link posts, and Reels.
- 3
Facebook image specs: Recommended 1200×630 for links, 1080×1080 for images.

- 5
You can manage multiple Facebook Pages if you are admin of each one.
- 6
Facebook Scheduling: Scheduled posts appear in your Facebook Creator Studio as pending — this is normal.
Pro tip: Facebook organic reach is lower than Instagram. Focus on videos and posts that spark conversation (comments).
- 1
Connect your Google account (the one linked to your YouTube channel) via Settings → Connected Channels.
- 2
Long-form videos: MP4, MOV, AVI. Recommended: 1920×1080 (16:9). Max size: 256 GB or 12 hours.

- 4
Add: Title (max 100 chars), Description (max 5000 chars), Tags, Thumbnail (1280×720 JPG/PNG), Privacy (Public, Unlisted, Private), and Category.
Pro tip: Spend 20% of your YouTube effort on the thumbnail — it's the single biggest factor in click-through rate.
- 5
Chapters: Add timestamps in the description (format: 0:00 Intro) to create automatic video chapters.
- 6
Monetization settings: YouTube monetization status is not managed by Pixalera. Manage it directly in YouTube Studio.
